My preferred method of work is with a spatula, a technique that allows me to achieve thick, textured layers of color that bring my canvases to life in bold, unanticipated ways. I get lost in a kind of nirvana when I paint, allowing the process to determine the manner in which I work, instinctually following my emotions and ideas through the strokes of the spatula. This technique not only adds depth and intensity to my work but also captures the emotional landscapes that inspire my work. The spontaneity of the spatula lets me let go and accept the unpredictability of the paint as it defines my creative vision. I also create commissioned paintings, working with clients to bring their visions and emotions to life in unique and personal pieces of work.
